"Landlord" and "tenant" are words steeped in ideas of power, dominance and social status. As such let's retire them. Instead we can have "housing provider" and "housing customer." These words tilt the balance the other way in our psychology. A provider has a responsibility and a customer has rights and expects a hight standard in the product and service. Words matter.
When we rent a house to another, we are creating a great home for an individual or family. To prepare it with love and heart matters, because it impacts real people. To provide housing from a cynical bank balance position alone causes our young or more vulnerable citizens to live in mentally unhealthy environments. Love and morality will show in the kind of home you provide.
