My garden is sort of binary - the areas that are neat are very very neat and the areas that are wild are very very wild. I like it that way, the two extremes right next to one another, enhancing one another. I can appreciate each all the more for their wonderful proximity.
From the Earth comes the bounty of diversity, the plants rising toward the sun, showing off their petals as if they were in a carnival parade.
When the soul and brain are in peaceful balance, when the needs of each is able to surface, the wild garden becomes more pleasing to the eye. Yet to the detached soul, that which has become lost in the vast space of logic alone, a desire to dominate nature and surroundings overwhelms to become a destruction of what is natural.
How could I ever wish for blankets of uniform green when the the wild garden brings a form of natural order that is more pleasing to the soul?
