Whyever is a place to have a home called a "lot"? Do we buy "a lot'? Does it cost "a lot"? Or is that backwards? Did an allotment become part of the language for expense? Either way, forwards or backwards, the right to a place to call home as been undermined for generations.
Perhaps a place to live, to raise a family, to become part of a community shouldn't cost "a lot," maybe we can think about ways to change that so that all can live without the kind of constant stress that is so damaging to brain, body and soul.
