We trained as shoplifters the same way any performer does, with a seriousness and perfectionism toward our craft.
Shoplifting evolved as store security evolved. The thought us the parasite and we saw them the same. I guess that's the way it is in social darwinism, the downward spiral into dysfunction.
We shoplifted what sold well on ebay. Not much. Not too many of one thing. When someone got caught we switched them into sales or some other role. Being caught once is bad, twice is worse. So we teach them well and see how long that part of their career lasts. We'd love to contribute to society, be productive and respected... but we feel that we got left out, left at the fringe to starve and such. We have to survive. We are part of society too, right? Give us another way to live, another chance to contribute and we will. We have skills, good skills and good hearts.
